Trustee
Opportunities
Help shape the future of our charity and your community by joining our Board of Trustees
We’re a registered charity and company limited by guarantee; trustees are also directors.
With almost 40 years’ experience, we are committed to providing inclusive education and support services around relationships and sex, sexual health & wellbeing, sexual rights & responsibilities.
We work primarily to support children, young people, and young adults but we also offer support to older adults.
You don’t need Board experience, just ideas, experience, or enthusiasm you’d like to share? We’re looking for passionate, skilled, and committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees.
As a Trustee, you will help set the charity’s strategic direction, oversee governance, and ensure that our resources are used effectively to maximise impact. We are particularly interested in applicants from young people, aged 16+ and people with experience in education, neurodiversity, youth offending, finance, fundraising, IT, though we welcome interest from anyone who believes they can add value to our work.
This is a rewarding opportunity to:
• Contribute your expertise to help people gain the education and information they need to make their own informed choices.
• Strengthen your leadership and governance skills.
• Join a friendly, supportive, fun, and professional team working to improve lives.
The role is voluntary, with reasonable out of pocket expenses reimbursed. Trustees typically commit at least 2-3 hours per quarter for Board meetings (usually held online to encourage applications from people who don’t live local to Huntingdon) plus ad-hoc meetings and occasional events. Trustees are expected to be available by phone, email, or Teams in between Board meetings.
If you’d like more information or an informal chat contact Sharron Spindler, CEO at sharron@dhiverse.org.uk or download and complete the application form.
We look forward to hearing from you.
