Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Lessons
Secondary School

At Dhiverse, we are passionate about providing a comprehensive and empowering Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) programme that not only educates but also inspires young people to make informed, confident, and responsible decisions about their relationships, sexual health, and overall well-being. We understand how challenging it can be to deliver RSE lessons, and that’s why Dhiverse is here to support you every step of the way. Our programme is designed to make teaching RSE engaging, accessible, and impactful, giving both students and educators the tools they need to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Supporting SEN and Neurodivergent Students

We are fully committed to creating an inclusive environment for all students. Our sessions are adaptable to meet the needs of most neurodivergent students and students who have special educational needs. Our aim is for every learner to feel supported, respected, and empowered.

What Your School or Provision Needs

Our RSE offer covers five essential topics, each designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the complexities of growing up:

  • Consent – Helping students understand other people’s boundaries and communicate their own, empowering them to make informed decisions in all interactions. This includes understanding legal aspects of consent, ensuring students are aware of their rights and responsibilities.

  • Sexual Health (Healthy Bodies) – Promoting self-awareness around puberty, reproduction, contraception, and sexual health, while busting myths, and addressing topics such as masturbation. The sessions focus on making safer and informed decisions, while promoting a healthy and open approach to sexuality.

  • Online Literacy – Equipping students with the skills to stay safer in online interactions, understanding the issues and laws around sexting, pornography, grooming, and image-sharing. We also help students identify how to respond to online risks with confidence.

  • Relationships – Promoting healthy, respectful relationships by helping students identify positive dynamics, set boundaries, and recognise harmful behaviours such as abuse, control, and coercion.

  • Body Image – Fostering positive body image and self-esteem, empowering students to embrace their bodies and confidently navigate societal pressures.

Our Programme Across Three Levels

We recognise that every student is unique, which is why our workshops are structured across three levels, designed to progressively build knowledge, confidence, and critical thinking skills. These levels are a guide, and you can choose the level best suited for your students.

  • Level 1 (for Years 7/8): Introduction to the topic, focusing on foundational knowledge and key concepts.

  • Level 2 (for Years 9/10): Deepening understanding, with more complex scenarios and interactive activities.

  • Level 3 (for Years 11+): Developing critical thinking and independent decision-making skills.

Flexible Delivery Options to Suit Your Needs

DIY (Deliver It Yourself)
If you prefer to deliver the RSE lesson independently, this option provides you with access to our pre-prepared resources, lesson plans, and materials. You’ll receive guidance on how to deliver the session effectively in your own setting, ensuring you feel confident and supported throughout.

Book Dhiverse Staff to Deliver a Lesson
This option allows you to book a member of the Dhiverse team to deliver an RSE session in your setting. Our experienced team will provide interactive, engaging, and informative sessions, creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Drop-ins for Mainstream and SEND
Secondary School

Our drop-in sessions are informal and give young people the opportunity to access support, information and signposting around e.g., relationships, sex, and sexual health, in a less formal and more confidential and relaxed environment than a lesson.

The facilitator will use a private room in your venue and will be available for an agreed time. Young people can drop in on their own or with a friend, at any time during the session, or they can pre-book an appointment if that works better for them.

We can provide ongoing support for the young person, refer them to one of our specialist programmes or our counselling service, or signpost or refer them to an external organisation. We can provide information and condoms, if required. All support and information provided is always age appropriate.
