SLIP Programme Facilitator – 8 hours per week, fixed term for one year
What is SLIP?
SLIP is an age appropriate Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) programme for young people age 9 to 24 who have struggled, or are struggling, to engage with RSE in school (RE in primary school), due to educational or behavioural challenges. These challenges will be impacting on their behaviours and attitudes towards relationships and sex and are putting them or others at risk, or could do in the future if left unaddressed.
SLIP is a non-mainstream RSE programme which is delivered in non-educational settings either to groups or to individuals. The programme is designed to be fun and interactive whilst ensuring that young people get the education and information they need to make their own informed choices about relationships and sex and how to keep themselves and others safe.
You’ll have experience of working with and supporting young people, an understanding of the needs of young people with challenging behaviours, the ability to communicate with young people on their level and experience delivering lessons, workshops, trainings or talks. You will also have an understanding of relationships and sex education and how important it is for young people to receive good RSE which is relevant to navigating relationships and sex in the 21st century.
