Our counselling service is for anyone (including young people) where issues around e.g. sexual health, sexuality, sexual identity, sexual relationships, sexual trauma or HIV are affecting their mental health and wellbeing.
Counselling is provided by a fully qualified and British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered counsellor, who has a number of years’ experience of counselling people with the above issues.
We offer up to 12 session per individual or couple and sessions take place in a safe and relaxed environment.
Following the easing of Government restrictions on COVID-19, we are now able to offer the choice of face to face sessions or sessions via WhatsApp in both Cambridge and Peterborough. However, we are not yet able to offer face to face sessions in Huntingdon. Face-to-face sessions are available in Cambridge on a Monday and in Peterborough on a Tuesday. Face to face sessions are not currently available in Huntingdon but WhatsApp sessions are still ongoing and available on a Wednesday.
We will offer sessions via WhatsApp for the foreseeable future, so if you prefer that option just let our counsellor know.
We will be following all the relevant Government guidance and our own policy and procedure around COVID, to ensure your health and safety at all times.
If you are having a face to face session, please arrive with your own face mask for your counselling session or we cannot proceed. Hand sanitiser will be available for client’s use. We will sanitise the counselling area after each client.
In the case of our counsellor being diagnosed with COVID-19 we would be required to pass on your contact details to the health services as required by the ‘Track and Trace’ system, and you will be asked to give your permission for this to take place. We would also ask that if you become infected or have to isolate because of COVID -19 that you please inform us as soon as possible.
Sessions are free but donations to Dhiverse, as a registered charity, are always welcome.
Counselling appointments are available between 10am and 6pm and as follows:
