We offer a confidential and free housing advice service to anyone living with HIV.
It may be that you have been threatened with court action for possession of your home, or you may have rent arrears and don’t know how to cope. You could have an eviction pending and are worrying that you may become homeless or you may already be homeless and don’t know what to do.
We may be able to help you with your housing issues by accompanying you to Court or by negotiating with your landlord. We may be able to help you get your eviction suspended or help you find accommodation if you are homeless.
In 2013 Housing Benefit changed and the so called ‘bedroom tax’ was introduced; this means that a person with an extra bedroom will lose some of their Housing Benefit entitlement; we can help and advise you on this.
Please do not leave these problems until the last minute. Come to us as soon as possible as the earlier it is with a problem, the easier it is to tackle.
We will need some proof of your HIV status.
