Healthy Lives

This section of our site details the work that we do, and the projects that we run to promote health.

DHIVERSE believes that health and being healthy is about much more than avoiding infection or illness. Our approach to health and health promotion is one of empowerment; we seek to work with individuals and groups around physical, mental and social well being. Health is about choice, and the choices that people make in their lives will affect their health.

We work to develop projects and initiatives that provide people with the information to make positive choices about their health. We work in a variety of ways including through one-to-one work, small groups, public awareness campaigns, providing information and resources and through our counselling service.

Our Healthy Lives programme includes projects that work with specific communities and groups, and the provision of information and awareness-raising more widely. All of our programmes involve volunteers. For more information about volunteering opportunities at DHIVERSE, click here.
